At Traust, our consultants are the heart of the work we do for our clients. In this spotlight, we’re proud to feature Ms. Joseph, a seasoned NetSuite consultant whose expertise and dedication have been instrumental in supporting Bachman’s — a beloved Minnesota home and garden store — through their recent NetSuite implementation.

From Software Developer to NetSuite Consultant

Ms. Joseph’s career in technology spans nearly three decades and two continents. Originally from India, she built the foundations of her career in software development before moving to the United States. Today, she resides in Las Vegas, where she continues to consult with clients across the country.

Her early career took her to Washington, D.C., where she joined GEICO as a software developer. Over the next nine years, she built a deep foundation in large-scale enterprise systems — experience that continues to inform her consulting work today. After raising her family and spending time living back in India, Ms. Joseph transitioned into consulting and transitioned to working in NetSuite in 2015. What started as a project referral soon became a career-defining specialization.

Since then, she has built a strong reputation as a trusted NetSuite consultant. She has supported a wide range of clients — from e-commerce companies integrating new marketplaces to businesses managing complex warehouse and inventory systems. Along the way, she’s become known not only for her technical skill but also for her ability to dive into every layer of a system: integrations, permissions, reporting, customizations, and more.

Why NetSuite Clicked

For Ms. Joseph, working as a NetSuite consultant offers something her earlier development roles lacked: variety and ownership. “In NetSuite, I get to handle the entire system,” she says. “I’m not just coding one small piece — I’m working across departments, solving problems, and making sure everything connects. That’s what I enjoy most.”

Her work goes far beyond fixing bugs. Ms. Joseph thrives on helping clients find solutions that make their day-to-day operations smoother, whether that means customizing forms, aligning role-based permissions, or integrating with third-party systems.

Supporting Bachman’s Through Complexity

Bachman’s went live on NetSuite earlier this year, with a highly customized environment to support their retail stores, garden services, warehouses, and e-commerce operations. Like many businesses after a major go-live, they faced challenges:

  • Incomplete implementations from a third-party partner.
  • Broken processes in shipping, tax calculation, and GL logic.
  • Department-specific needs that required new customizations.

Ms. Joseph stepped in to help stabilize the system. When users reported issues, she worked to:

  • Investigate and resolve root causes while offering temporary workarounds to keep operations running.
  • Customize general ledger functionality so department information flowed correctly into GL lines.
  • Align role-based permissions to ensure workflows functioned smoothly across Bachman’s many departments.
  • Improve system reliability by addressing broken triggers and incomplete logic left from the original implementation.

Through her work, Ms. Joseph has helped restore confidence in Bachman’s NetSuite system, giving their teams the tools they need to serve customers more effectively. Her partnership with Bachman’s illustrates the importance of having not just a developer, but a problem-solver who can adapt to the unique needs of each department while keeping the bigger business picture in mind.

Dedication That Clients Notice

One of the things clients value most about Ms. Joseph is her commitment to her work as a NetSuite consultant. She’s known for being available whenever her clients need her — even during late nights, weekends, or while traveling.

“If something happens, I’m there to help. I enjoy the work, and I want my clients to know they can rely on me.” This reliability, combined with her problem-solving skills, has made her an indispensable partner to Bachman’s and many other organizations. She doesn’t just solve issues — she builds trust, ensuring clients feel supported at every step.

Beyond the Office

Outside of her work as a NetSuite consultant, Ms. Joseph is deeply devoted to her family. Both of her daughters are now pursuing higher education in the U.S., and she treasures time spent with them and her sister, who lives nearby in Las Vegas.

Ms. Joseph also enjoys hiking — especially in Zion and Bryce Canyon — and still carries a lifelong love of plants, thanks to her early studies in botany. Though the desert climate makes gardening a challenge, she hasn’t lost her appreciation for greenery. This connection feels especially fitting given her work with Bachman’s, where she helps a business rooted in plants and gardens thrive through technology.

Her personal journey — balancing international moves, raising a family, and navigating changing technologies — has also shaped her professional outlook. Ms. Joseph approaches every project with resilience and empathy, qualities that make her an outstanding consultant and a valued colleague.
